The first piece of the restart has been fixed, for the Benevento the time has now come to dive into the labyrinth of those tense stories that will inevitably characterize the summer session. It is no coincidence that at Monday’s summit one of the main topics that ended up on the table concerned the management of players who are under contract, both those who were part of the squad in the second part of the season and those returning from loans.
They can be counted already 34 in a workforce that will inevitably have to be downsized: the hope is that it will be possible to do this by the time we leave for the pre-season retreat – which will take place in mid-July (read here) – but it is not a given that this will happen, because there are many thorny situations and they are not easy to resolve.
It is probably also for this reason, i.e. to have more room for manoeuvre, that the club has reiterated its desire not to confirm elements such as Newfoundland, Ciano And Ferrante. The same fate could also befall a Improta, although the latter enjoys Auteri’s esteem: the club’s orientation, however, is to end his experience with the Giallorossi here.
For Ciciretti And Manfredini, instead, we will try to set up a negotiation for the renewal, even if the detail of the figures will not be negligible at all, especially in the case of the Roman playmaker who is unlikely to be willing to accept the same conditions as last summer.
