Pisa, Valoti and D’Alessandro will not be redeemed Il Tirreno

PISA. Decisions on the coach and sporting director will be made by the end of this week. For the Pisa managers, the one just ended was a weekend of reflection. The calendar on the horizon is full of crucial steps to arrive at the definitive choices. First of all, the relationship with Aquilani will have to be officially resolved, as it has not been confirmed for next season. If there is no consensual separation, the Roman coach will be sacked.

However, the separation with the sporting director Stefano Stefanelli who is about to move to Juventus will be consensual. For Stefanelli the official communication of the divorce from Pisa should arrive tomorrow. After Aquilani, Pisa met four coaches. The favorite remains Filippo Inzaghi but nothing has materialized yet. The outsiders are Massimo Donati, fresh from his great experience in C at Legnago, William Viali and Fabio Caserta. The last two took turns on the Cosenza bench. The situations, however, are different. Viali is the coach of the Calabrians with a contract until 2025, but with the departure of DS Gemmi he should leave too; Caserta, however, terminated his contract after his dismissal.

For the role of sports director the favorite is Giovanni Rossi. Native of Massa, born in 1966, former striker and manager for more than twenty years now. He recently ended his long relationship with Sassuolo. However, nothing is taken for granted. The other names in contention are those of Mattia Baldini, Renzo Castagnini, under contract with Brescia until 2025, and Giuseppe Magalini who is out of contract with Catanzaro but seems close to Bari. Loans with right of redemption will also be decided this week , from 12 to 14 June, and then, from 15 to 17 June, the counter redemptions.

Pisa will not buy Marco D’Alessandro and Mattia Valoti from Monza. At least at first, D’Alessandro’s redemption seemed certain but the club has not yet decided on the coach and sporting director and therefore wants to evaluate what to do together with these two new figures. If the new coach and the new sporting director evaluate them as important players for the new project, Pisa will then return to talk to Monza and try to sign them permanently. Meanwhile, Pisa will buy Tommaso Barbieri from Juventus for 2.4 million . However, the Bianconeri could get him back with 600 thousand euros more.
