NICOLA FIERRO MEMORIAL. An afternoon dedicated to sport, football in particular, to remember a friend and professional colleague.
The Municipality of Mirabello Sanniticowhere Nicola lived was the scene of the challenge between a selection ofOrder of Journalists of Molise driven by Isidoro La Farciola and a formation of the Great Footballers Mirabello with the coach Mauro De Cesare on the bench, who together with other local boys collaborated for the success of the event.
An initiative, the one wanted by the Order of Journalists of Molise with the precious collaboration of colleagues Antonello Di Lella and Stefano Saliolawhich immediately garnered acclaim.
The afternoon opened with the memory of the Order and of sister Lorella in the presence of his wife Paola, daughter Cecilia, parents Antonio and Carmelina and brother-in-law Angelo as well as colleagues and friends. Lorella’s words were particularly touching as she highlighted the humility and cheerfulness of Nicola, an exemplary professional who gave so much to every colleague, in professional terms and beyond.
In the hot afternoon at the beginning of June, Odg Molise then gave the family a souvenir plaque delivered by vice president Cosimo Santimone and coach Isidoro La Farciola.
The professional association also honored his wife Paola and daughter Cecilia with a bouquet of flowers. Floral tribute also for Nicola’s mother, Carmelina, from the Grandi Calciatori Mirabello team. The contest was kicked off by Cecilia, followed with her eyes and heart by her cousins Federico and Thomas Di Camillo who, although adversaries (the former was captain of the Great Calciatori Mirabello, the latter wore the armband for the Odg ) they put their heart and lungs on the synthetic in memory of their uncle.
On the field, under the orders of the trio composed of Maurizio Barbiero, Giuseppe Belvedere and Andrea Borrelli, the Mirabello selection was the first to take the lead with the Order’s team first drawing and then taking the lead by taking home the 2-1 victory. At the end there were awards ceremonies in the presence of Odg Molise president Vincenzo Cimino and deputy Santimone, Nicola’s family and many friends. Regardless of the ending, the best victory was having remembered a friend and colleague who taught each of us so much.
And the football match was the best way. The debut was positive, now the appointment is for 2025.
The sporting event, which was widely followed in the stands, was preceded by an ethical training event on sports journalism, organized by the Order, Ussi, the Municipality of Mirabello and Corecom Molise.
