MODENA. It was last April 13th, when the Modena communicated the exemption of Paolo Bianco from the team bench. A difficult and even somewhat painful decision on the part of the owners, but perhaps necessary at that delicate moment of the season. Now, after almost two months away, the former Canary coach – with a contract in place until 2025 with an option for another year – seems ready to get back in the saddle. Initially for him it seemed that there was the possibility of a foreign track. It wouldn’t have been the first time for Bianco, having been the assistant of De Zerbi in Ukraine at Shakhtar Donetsk. Even before accepting Modena’s proposal, the coach from Foggia could have gone abroad, probably to England, to the court of his mentor. Now, however, the options for him could be in Serie C. Let’s start from the first, that is Casertana. At this moment, the Campania team is in full turmoil, given the farewell of sporting director Degli Esposti, who left for Gubbio. President D’Agostino, therefore, will first look for a new sporting director, and then he will resolve the coaching issue, given that the current coach Cangelosi has been leaving for months. The second option, however, concerns the Feralpisalò. The Lombard team has just been relegated after having achieved a historic promotion to Serie B just a year ago. Zaffaroni has not managed a new miracle after saving Verona in Serie A two seasons ago now. Feralpi, therefore, is looking for a new coach, with whom it can try to immediately return to the category and to do so it is seriously thinking of Paolo Bianco. Compared to Caserta, this would perhaps be a perfect solution for him to be able to relaunch himself after the “unfortunate” year he experienced in Modena. In Salò there are the right conditions to offer his type of football, given that it is also a place that has relaunched other coaches in the past, such as Vecchi, who led the Lombards to promotion to Serie B last year. Furthermore, for Bianco it would be the closing of a circle, given that in Modena the real troubles began with the home defeat against Feralpisalò. His arrival in another team would allow Modena not to have to pay the salaries of two coaches, given that Bianco’s contract expires in two years, even one more than Bisoli’s.
