Treviso. Lifetime Achievement Award for Carabinieri Lieutenant Colonel Sabatino Piscitello: 25 years as commander

TREVISO – Lifetime Achievement Award for the lieutenant colonel Sabatino Piscitellocommander of the information unit of the provincial command of the carabinieri of Treviso. The Army graduate was officially awarded the Mauritian medal For ten decades of military career. Well yes: fifty years, the result of the sum between years of service and those of command in the various departments of the Army. The officer from Palermo, he held continuously from 2000 to today important assignments, first in Sicily, his homeland, and then in Veneto, his second home.

His debut in the Army saw him at command of the operational and mobile radio unit of the Company of Taormina (Messina) and subsequently that of the Company Southern Messina. He then moved on to direct the operational section of the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate (Dia) of Agrigento before moving to the North.

In Veneto he took the reins of Thiene Company (Vicenza), he was section chief within the General Staff of CoESPU of Vicenza, a center for advanced studies and training of the various national police forces on the topic of peace-keeping. Until he landed in the Marche, where he was head of the Montebelluna Company (TV) and of Information core of the provincial command, a position he still holds. Between these two experiences in Treviso, there was a parenthesis which saw him engaged in the Carabinieri section of the Military Police at the Command Northern Operational Forces of Padua.

The recognition it was awarded to him on 5 June, on the occasion of the 210th anniversary of the foundation of the Carabinieri.
