Campobasso. Stabbed by girlfriend’s ex, 30-year-old operated on under code red

Campobasso, 9 June. A 30-year-old young man was the victim of an attack with a switchblade yesterday evening, Sunday 9 June, around 10 pm, in via Martiri d’Unità. The man, seriously injured in the abdomen, was promptly transported in code red to the Cardarelli hospital in Campobasso.

According to what was reconstructed by the Carabinieri, who intervened immediately at the scene of the accident, the thirty-year-old was in the company of his girlfriend when he met her ex-partner, a 32-year-old also resident in the Molise capital. The situation quickly degenerated into a heated argument, culminating in the stabbing.

During the struggle, the 30-year-old man suffered a deep wound to his abdomen, requiring him to be immediately transferred to hospital. The attacker also suffered an injury, although less serious, to his arm and is currently hospitalized in the same hospital under close surveillance by the military personnel, as he is in custody.

The twenty-eight year old injured last night during a stabbing that occurred in the Parco dei Pini area of ​​the capital underwent surgery this morning at the Cardarelli hospital in Campobasso. The young man, who had suffered a deep wound to his abdomen, underwent delicate surgery. Currently, his condition is stable and he remains under close medical observation.
