The planning for the 2024-2025 Lecce Women sports season has started. After having announced some confirmations in recent weeks, including that of captain Serena D’Amico and deputies Chiara Guido and Giulia Felline, other players on the staff are about to join the Lecce association for the next seasons. This confirms the quality of the sporting project of the Giallorossi club which aims to reach the top levels of Italian women’s football by focusing mainly on young players from the area. The regional titles won this season with the Junior and Under 15 teams confirm that the path taken is the right one even if there is still a lot to work on.
In the meantime, Lecce Women has two very important events scheduled on July 4th, both in the municipality of Castrignano dei Greci. The first, the Open Day, will take place starting from 4pm at the municipal sports field “La Torre” and will be open to all young female footballers in the area who are passionate about football. Following this, at 8pm, the GLT Women’s Sport Award 2024 will be held at the Pozzelle municipal park: during the event the 10 scholarships will be awarded to the winning athletes, two for each category. The evening, which will be open to the public, will reserve many surprises.
