Trento rookies – Trainotti win and jersey

Big party at Forti e Veloci in Romagnano, where Nicolò Trainotti scored a double success, winning the race reserved for 1st year rookies and winning the title of Trentino champion, which among the class of 2010 went to another standard bearer of the rossoblù club , Giacomo Carlin from Pergine, second in the order of arrival behind the Venetian Gioele Libertani.

Forti e Veloci, organizers of the event, achieved great satisfaction at the Banca Trophy for Trentino Alto Adige – Rothoblaas Trophy, a race for rookies which saw around 200 athletes lined up at the starting line, giving rise to the double race reserved for the class of 2011 and the 2010s.
At 9am the “first year” test began, called to cover 36 kilometres, distributed along six laps of the Pomari circuit (6 kilometers per lap). A substantially flat route, with a short climb in the final part, an ideal springboard for escape attempts, which were not lacking.
The athletes of the home team, directed in the flagship by sporting director Luca Prada and his trusted collaborator Lorenzo Roccabruna, tried to keep the race under control, with the aim of giving satisfaction to their club. On the third lap, Nicolò Donato attempted a solo push and went on to take the flying finish, before making himself available to his teammates. It was he who, at the end, gave Nicolò Trainotti the sprint: the 2011 class from Santa Margherita di Ala completed the job ideally, going on to take his sixth victory of the season. A success with double value, which also earned him the Trentino champion’s jersey, to wear with pride throughout the season.
Behind him were the Venetian Nicolò Faccin (Industrial Forniture Moro) and Samuel Dal Molin of Veloce Club Borgo (ninth top 3 of 2024), who completed the podium, followed in the order of arrival by Victor Voltolini (another standard bearer of the Borghigiano club) and by Diego Filippi of Luc Bovolone.
Then it was the turn of the 2nd year Rookies, who covered eight laps of the 6 kilometer circuit. Even in this case, the race was particularly lively, primarily thanks to the verve of the Libertas Laives twins Pier Davide and Luis Mauri Macas Jimenez, who both tried the action from distance, without success. Same fate for the attempts of Rafael Camara Fernandes (Sprint Vidor), Riccardo Iasci (Fdb) and Mirko Vicentini (Uc Valle di Cembra), the last to try at the sound of the bell which indicated the start of the last round of the circuit.
Therefore, it was a group sprint that decided the winner. The Venetian Gioele Libertani (Industrial Forniture Moro) was ahead of everyone, coming out of the last corner first and managing to resist the forceful return of his direct competitors to victory: above all Giacomo Carlin from Trentino from Pergine Valsugana, who gave new satisfaction to the Strong and Fast. The rossoblù club put two Trentino champion shirts on its showcase, seeing its organizational efforts rewarded also by the results.
Libertani won his second victory of the season, while Carlin (on the fourth podium of 2024) was also able to rejoice for the second place, which earned him the coveted purple jersey. Third place for Riccardo Meneghello, who completed the good choral performance of Industrial Forniture Moro. Leonardo Dossi (Vc Borgo) fourth, Giuliano Cavada (Us Montecorona) fifth, with Erik Magagnotti (Forti e Veloci) seventh.
