Grosseto: The dream of the Grosseto Skating Club to conquer the Fisr zonal cup in the under 13 category. On the friendly track in via Mercurio, the boys coached by Stefano Paghi, in the match against Sarzana A (4-2 the final result), came really close to achieving the feat: leading by two to zero thanks to a brace from Mirko Pucillo, between the 1st and 5th minute of play, the red and whites suffered the return of the Ligurian team, who scored with Traina 8’33 from the end of the first half and with Beggi with the third of the second half. The Skating Club, who missed a direct shot at two to one, continued to play on equal terms with their opponents for the entire second half until reaching the penalties to decide the winner of the end-of-season event. On penalties, Grosseto took the lead with Alessio Tonini’s winning shot, but Sarzana managed to lift the Fisr cup thanks to the goals of Amatuzzo and Traina.

Together with the disappointment for the lack of success, there remains the satisfaction of having closed in the best possible way a season which saw the Maremma under 13s always on top, after a good fourth place in the regular season, behind the battleships Castiglione and Follonica and the Sarzana A.

Satisfaction was expressed by the technicians Stefano Paghi and Emilio Minchella and by the president Stefano Osti who applauded another good performance from his little champions.

The Grosseto U13 lineup: Andrea Conti, Niccolò Amerighi, Leonardo Boni, Elias Bordan, Alexander Convertiti Mann, Edward Convertiti Mann, Mirko Pucillo, Gabriele Sorbo, Alessio Tonini, Marco Mori.
