In fact, the lionesses beat Tiki Taka Francavilla by three goals and for the first time in the history of women’s futsal, they won the Italian Cup and the championship for the second consecutive year.
A historic and unparalleled achievement, brought home at the end of a thrilling match which saw Bitonto take the lead with Mansueto, waste the impossible, hit three posts, suffer the Tiki Taka comeback thanks to Berté and Vanin, and then finding the equalizer with Renatinha and then the goal of the definitive overtaking with the former Tampa, for a success that sent a Palaflorio packed with people, love and passion into raptures that made the Bari facility a real bedlam.
A bedlam that then continued to the streets of the center where the girls celebrated in the evening together with the city, the second consecutive scudetto which means playing the Champions League for the second year in a row in December.
For the lionesses of owner Silvano Intini it is time to rest and recharge the batteries in view of the next season which promises to be full of dreams and expectations.
THE MATCH
Mister Gianluca Marzuoli also chose to confirm his tactical creed in the championship final by starting with the starting five made up of Jozi, Diana Santos, Tampa, Renatinha and Luciléia.
Bitonto started well and tried in the 3rd minute with Tmpa’s left foot from the edge, deflected for a corner by Duda.
However, it was Mansueto who broke the deadlock in the 5th minute, scoring a beautiful goal from an impossible position and cutting to the left, with the ball hitting the crossbar and entering the net for the 1-0 goal.
Bitonto is irrepressible and in the 8th minute doubles the lead with Luciléia, but for the match director it is a handball and the goal is not validated.
A minute later from the same tile, this time it is the crossbar that says no to the black-green number ten.
At the 10th Tiki Taka threatens with Vanin’s running left foot from the left, but the ball goes out of the back by not much.
In the 12th minute the same fate for Renatinha who shoots from the edge, but hits the post.
In the 14th minute the third wood was hit by Bitonto with Diana Santos who kicked hard from long range but found the crossbar saying no.
In the 15th minute Vanin speeds away and shoots, but Jozi is attentive and deflects it into the corner with her feet.
At halftime it’s 1-0 Bitonto.
The second half opens in a very high fashion and after thirty-seven seconds Tiki Taka finds the equalizer with Berté who takes advantage of a lack of attention from the Neroverde defense to make it 1-1 with a right-footed low shot to the far post from the edge.
A few seconds later Vanin volleys but finds an extraordinary Jozi to say no.
In the 5th minute Bitonto shows up with Tampa’s left foot at an angle, which finds an excellent response with Duda’s feet in the corner.
In the 7th minute, however, Tiki Taka was stubborn and turned the game around with Vanin’s left-footed shot from a corner which made it 1-2 for Tiki Taka.
After the scare, however, Bitonto regrouped and in the 9th minute they found the equalizer with Renatinha who went on his own, skipped everyone and with his left foot comfortably deposited the ball into the net to make it 2-2 Bitonto.
Two minutes and Bitonto turns it around again with Tampa receiving from Diana Santos on the counterattack and with a one-on-one lob with Duda making it 3-2.
With four to go the Tiki Taka goes all out with the fifth man of movement.
The move, however, does not bring the desired results and at the final whistle it is three to two for Bitonto who for the first time in the history of women’s futsal achieved the double for two years in a row and enjoyed an extraordinary achievement that will remain in the annals of futsal and the city of Bitonto.
