Another very serious road accident on the afternoon of Sunday 9 June on the border between the Vicenza and Treviso areas. Shortly after 5.30 pm in Semonzo, a hamlet of Borso del Grappa, Gianni Auguadro, 46 years old, resident of Bassano del Grappa, he died after crashing his scooter into a wall while he was traveling along the provincial road that connects the Pedemontana to the Bassano area. There is still no certainty about the causes of the crash: the police are trying to understand whether the cause of the loss of control of the vehicle was a moment of distraction, or an incorrect maneuver or an illness. The fact is that, by pure miracle according to the Suem health workers who intervened on site, on board the motorbike driven by the 46-year-old there was another passenger who remained unharmed.
The rescue
The emergency services were very rapid and were called immediately: the 118 health workers, the carabinieri and the traffic police were at the scene of the impact. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for the motorcyclist, who died instantly. The firefighters of Castelfranco Veneto and Bassano del Grappa also rushed to the scene and had to put out the flames that had engulfed the motorbike, which caught fire after hitting the wall.
