Bologna, 9 June 2024 – Una Volvo it’s a Mercedes. Which ‘evaporated’ from one of the car parks near the airport. The double car theft was reported on Friday afternoon by the custodians of the car park in Via della Salute to the police: according to what was reconstructed by the Volanti officers, two hooded men, around midday of the same day, were filmed by surveillance cameras as they entered the car parking area. Here, once they found the keys that the custodians had hidden, they started the cars and ran away. The police immediately informed the owners of the theft and they immediately did so started the research of Volvo and Mercedes, also taking advantage of the GPS provided.
According to what has been reconstructed, the parking attendants would have explained that the keys were not in their office at that moment, but had been placed elsewhere so as to be able to move the cars more quickly. A fact perhaps not isolated, which the thieves must have ascertained in the course of more inspections, enough to push them into action. The reason for the theft is unclear: whether it was for the purpose of reselling the cars, whole or ‘sectioned’, or whether to use them to carry out other thefts or robberies.
