Thunderstorms arriving in Como and its province from today’s afternoon with a warning from the Lombard Civil Protection. Here are the forecasts:
The collapse of the anticyclonic promontory on the Mediterranean allows the transit of a cooler depression core over central-northern Italy, with an increase in instability during today, Sunday 09/06. From the central hours of the day they will be
possible showers and thunderstorms scattered across the Region, with a greater probability of strong thunderstorms from mid-afternoon, initially affecting the western sectors and moving from South to North, during the afternoon and evening moving across the central plain and intensifying. In the night between today and Monday the phenomena will be attenuating and moving towards the East.
In the Pre-Alpine and Alpine areas, ventilation reinforcements at altitudes above 700-800 metres. The removal of the low depression will leave the Region during the day tomorrow, Monday 10/06a weakly unstable flow from West-Southwest which will intensify the diurnal cycle: probable showers or local thunderstorms on the mountains in the central hours, extending to the plains in the evening and at night.
The Functional Center will re-evaluate the new forecast scenarios during the morning of tomorrow 10/06 for the possible issuing of alert color codes valid for the second part of the day.
