Weather trend starting next week

The new week will be characterized by markedly different conditions between Northern Italy and the rest of the country. The peninsula will be divided in two, with the North having been markedly unstable for some time and the South continuing to experience sun and summer heat.

In the North, the anticyclone will give way to more unstable currents for several days. These conditions will bring the passage of some disturbances associated with undulations, which in turn will favor showers and thunderstorms, alternating with dry and sunny breaks. In some areas, thunderstorms may also be strong, with possible intense hailstorms, accompanied by a further drop in temperatures. This unstable scenario may extend, albeit more sporadically, towards Central Italy, especially involving the internal and Apennine areas.

In Southern Italy, however, the African anticyclone will continue to dominate, bringing stable and sunny weather conditions for most of the week, except for some disturbances in Campania. The undulations that will cross the North and the Center will contribute to heat waves in the South, with temperatures that could reach 36-38°C, especially in the internal areas of Sicily and Calabria. Only in the second part of the week is a drop in temperatures possible in these areas, albeit temporary.
