here is the roadmap

Fabriano (Ancona), 14 June 2024 – After months, the perpetrator of the mugging which took place at the railway station of the paper city on the night between 20 and 21 November has been traced to Alessandria. For him, a warning from the police commissioner has already been reported: he will not be able to set foot in Fabriano for three years. At that moment, a Fabriano resident waiting for the train had connected the charging cable of his smartphone to the power socket in the station’s ticket office hall. The man had fallen asleep and was woken up with a start by hearing the bag he was carrying being snatched. The criminal had stolen the charging smartphone. Having recovered from the shock, the 50-year-old from Fabriano began chasing the thief in the railway station square. He then attempted to stop the vehicle he had entered (a car driven by an accomplice) by placing himself in the center of the road. In those moments he saw that the purse and the wallet it contained had been thrown away from the moving car. The car made no sign of stopping and continued its journey and would certainly have hit the robbed man if he had not thrown himself to the side. The criminal and his accomplice thus disappeared. During the following morning, the robbed person filed a complaint with the Fabriano public safety police station: the police, after very rapid investigations carried out also with the collection of images taken from the video surveillance circuits present in the area, identified in a hamlet of the Fabriano area, the car used by the perpetrators of the crime, parked near a house. After a stakeout that lasted over an hour, a man came out of the house and headed in the direction of the vehicle: he was immediately stopped by the officers, a 31-year-old community citizen, who had been living in the Fabriano area for some time, already at the first protests , admitted the charges allowing the recovery of the stolen smartphone. He was the driver of the fugitive car. However, there is no trace of the material responsible for the robbery: for this reason, national searches have been launched. However, both were reported to the judicial authorities. After months, the wanted man was tracked down in Alessandria, Piedmont: the prosecuting police office took care of his complete identification and the necessary judicial formalities. He turned out to be a 40-year-old EU citizen, without registered residence in the national territory, and no stranger to property crimes. Against him, the police commissioner of Ancona Cesare Capocasa issued a mandatory expulsion order from the Municipality of Fabriano for three years during which the subject, if found in the city or in the municipal area, would be further reported to the Prosecutor’s Office with the expectation of imprisonment from 6 to 18 months and a fine of up to 10 thousand euros.
