Crotone – Yesterday there was a real “call to the brushes” to repair the boat Hymn to Life created in April by the artist Massimo Sirelli and desired by the association I remain.
In recent weeks, if you remember, the artistic installation of the San Nikolaos wreck which saw twelve people saved in the city of Crotone during a 2020 landing was the subject of an act of vandalism. The boat-monument installed at the entrance of Parco Pitagora saw the transformation of the wreck of the sea cart into a symbol of hospitality and life. The fire was started at dawn on May 20 using a garbage can full of waste as a trigger positioned under the hull.
Yesterday, armed with brushes, colors and a lot of good will, the members of Io Resto went early in the morning to the city park to repaint the San Nikolaos and remove that black that resembled the fire.
