History and motors embrace each other in the heart of the city. An unmissable appointment, a tradition that has been renewed again this year, the one that began yesterday with Automotostoriche in centro, the event organized by Officina Ferrarese with the partnership of Ascom Confcommercio and the Municipality. The ‘old ladies’ appeared at 3pm, with the display of approximately one hundred and forty historic vehicles with a vast range of brands representing from 1925 to the present day, while at 6.30pm the first rumbles were heard, with the departure of the actual parade in Piazza Trento Trieste. But it didn’t end here. In fact, the motoring heart will also beat today, with an initiative dedicated to the little ones. In the name of solidarity with the Unicef Mini Grand Prix, a race on pedal cars will be held for children aged between four and nine. Rehearsals will be held from 10am to 12pm, while the finals will be held from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. This year too, the event was a success, with many onlookers crowding into the square to watch the historic cars parade. A union between Ferrara and engines that continues to shine.

“This event – explained the president of the Officina Ferrarese del Motorismo Storico club, Riccardo Zavatti together with his deputy, Carlo Grelewski on the occasion of the presentation of the event – represents a great tradition for our club. We have decided to hold it on these dates over a year ago, unaware of the possibility that there would be elections. In any case, it didn’t seem right to us to move it, because it is a very important occasion both for us and for the city”. Moreover, as the provincial president of Confcommercio Marco Amelio explained, “having an event of this type that brings a large number of people to the historic center, even from outside the Region, certainly represents an added value”. And so it was. An important showcase for enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts who contributed to animating the heart of the city by bringing passion on four wheels to the streets. Passion that will continue today with a look at the little ones, among whom there could perhaps be some drivers of tomorrow.
