They infiltrated agricultural companies to steal: six men arrested
Crimes also committed in Viterbo
VITERBO – A gang has accomplished a series of thefts against some agricultural companies between Umbria, Lazio, Emilia-Romagna and Marche: they were Six men arrested in total, five Romanians and one Pakistani aged between 32 and 40. L’precautionary order it was imposed after the necessary investigations by the Perugia flying squad.
The facts date back tosummer of 2023: the thieves would also have arrived at Viterbo between 23 and 24 August. They would also have moved towards Rimini, committing the crime between 4 and 5 June 2023 and would also have reached Monbaroccio (province of Pesaro-Urbino) to steal between 11 and 14 August. The other thefts occurred in Bertinoro (province of Forlì-Cesena) between 17 and 18 August, in Cesena between 23 and 24 August and in Valmontone on the 31st of the same month.
The six men would have entered the factories, forcing the entrance gates and appropriating household appliances, 420 liters of diesel and a 900 meter electrical cablefor a total value of around 100 thousand euros. The perpetrators of the thefts were identified by investigators throughaid of video surveillance systems and the activities conducted. There would also have been the involvement of the thieves in other events, hypothesized through the analysis of their GPS tracks by the investigators: they would also have stolen from different farms.
This is the sum of the quantities of material taken away: 1500 liters of diesel, electric cables over 9 kilometers in length, 3 vans and other equipmentthus reaching an estimate of 265 thousand euros. There would also have been gods accomplicesstill unknown to the police.
The order was received by one of the suspects in the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he was already located, only to be joined by the other 4. The sixth is still wanted.
