Florence, 08 June 2024 – Alla summer party promoted by Cirs of Florence (a center that offers socio-educational and training services for people with psychophysical and neurosensory disabilities) a special surprise guest also arrived: Federico Russo, radio speaker and well-known television host. Historic face of MTV, after having participated in the Italia1 program “Operazione Trionfo” in 2002, over the years he also presented the Italian edition of The Voice on Raidue.
«For the group’s performance with the show “It’s called life” freely taken from the book “Tutti i colori della vita” – explain the representatives of the Cirs day center -, Federico Russo was also in the audience, invited by one of the boys who have been part of our reality for a long time».
At the Cirs headquarters in via delle Masse in Florence, the presence of the well-known speaker and musician enriched the afternoon shared with operators, families and volunteers. “Our kids are still excited today: Federico spent a long time with each of them, taking photographs, exchanging jokes and comments and all this can only make us truly enthusiastic. A beautiful moment spent between laughter, fun and light-heartedness which allowed us to let him know how important the activity carried out in our Center is”.
His unexpected visit “allowed us to achieve another objective that Cirs has always aimed at: allowing all our children to experience moments of social inclusion to enhance the potential of people with disabilities. For this reason we would like to thank him publicly with the invitation to come and visit us whenever he wants: Cirs has always been everyone’s home, where everyone feels welcomed and where anyone can freely be themselves.”
The CIRS Florence ODV is a voluntary organization that has been providing its social welfare service for more than 70 years to people with social hardship and/or psycho-physical disabilities and offers socio-educational and training services.
