“We missed the goal in Perugia. Future? I’m fine here”

Long interview with the Corriere di Romagna microphones for Claudio Morrathe striker of Rimini he spoke like this about his season. “It was a strange season, which started badly, which we did well to put back on track by winning the play-offs and ended with great regret in Perugia. At the beginning, we paid dearly for the fact that the team had many new elements, some arrived during construction and therefore without adequate preparation. In the first eight games we also had bad luck and we found ourselves down there in last place. But we never lost confidence, we worked hard and with the arrival of Troise, the inclusion of some new players and with the growth in physical form, we managed to string together a series of positive results that raised our morale. We moved up the rankings but when the last step had to be taken, however for one reason or another, we never managed to do it, but things seemed to take a turn for the worse, performances and victories arrived, until we reached the play-offs.”

On the playoffs. “We dominated the match, in Perugia we saw one of Rimini’s best versions of the season. Unfortunately we missed the goal and we went out undeservedly. I believe that something needs to be changed in the regulation: at least extra time should be played and possibly, if even those were finished, the parity persisted, to advance the better-placed team, because having said that, I think it was a more than positive season.”

The statement also on its future. “I’m happy in Rimini and at Rimini and I’ve already said it several times. Now I’m leaving for holidays and if something were to happen, my agent will take care of it.”
