“After 30 years of hunting… finally a Prey”, it was a great celebration for Gso Zandobbio after the final whistle against Castel Rozzone at the Gorlago municipal stadium. There was no better way than to put the first ambitious trophy on the showcase to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the company’s foundation.
“To talk about this achievement I would like to start from the beginning – explains the sports director Paolo Mutti -, because fortunately at the end of last year our path crossed with that of mister Luciano Sanga and his deputy Adriano Ghilardi. Mister Sanga wanted to repay the emotions that the boys he had trained in the past, now managers of the company, had given him”.
A trophy that arrived after a long work: “The season began with the euphoria of having a top-level coach for a Third Category, also knowing that other clubs were looking for him. Ours is a very modest club given that it is an Oratory, but with the change of managers in 2021, we strongly wanted to build a team by bringing back to the village our boys who played outside and in other categories, but who grew up here. In these three years we have managed to work in this direction and the objective, now that the team is complete, is to aim for the playoffs which disappeared in the season just ended. How did it go this year? The Preda trophy is often used as preparation for the championship, even for Zandobbio it has always been used this way, while Mister Sanga immediately wanted the boys to tackle it seriously and not as training.
