L’AQUILA – The lawyer Roberta Spaziani is the new president of the L’Aquila Lions Club. She succeeds Marisa Iannarelli.
The usual Passing of the Gavel ceremony of the L’Aquila Lions Club took place at the “Villa Giulia” restaurant, which marks the handover between the Club presidents: the lawyer Roberta Spaziani is the new president for the financial year 2024 -2025.
During the convivial meeting, the outgoing president Marisa Iannarelli took stock of the profitable activity carried out in her financial year, while the new president Roberta Spaziani anticipated some of what will be the programmatic themes of her mandate, opening with a significant thank you to the member longest-lived, Bruno Cetrullo.
“I am sure that with our enthusiasm we will be able to do more and more for others – said Spaziani – Our motto is “to serve”, it means feeling served in serving others, an intimate and profound feeling that gives us strength and it makes us feel at ease with others and helps us understand where and how it is best to intervene. We are and will be a strong and courageous group, with the capacity for vital action. We will continue to carry out services and initiatives on health, help for hospital departments and the most vulnerable categories and also on the environment, biodiversity, schools, victims of physical and verbal violence, youth hardship, road safety”.
Present at the ceremony were the “Melvin Jones” of the L’Aquila club, Bruno Cetrullo and Christian Corrado, representatives of the other city service clubs and, among other authorities, the vice mayor Raffaele Daniele, the regional councilor Roberto Santangelo, the military commander of the Abruzzo Army and Molise, Colonel Marco Iovinelli, Don Carmelo Pagano Le Rose representing the archbishop, Cardinal Giuseppe Petrocchi.
With Roberta Spaziani, who will officially take office on July 1st, the new Board of Directors has also taken office, made up of: Marisa Iannarelli (Immediate Past President), Luciano Mariani (1st Vice President), Massimiliano Venta (2nd Vice President and Club Treasurer ), Davide Porcu (Secretary), Ernesto Venta (President of the Members Committee), Massimiliano Laurini (President of the Service Committee), Stefano Dascoli (Head of Communications and Marketing), Katia Panella (Censor), Rocco Totaro (Club representative of the LCIF Foundation), Carlo Cobianchi (Safety Manager) and the Councilors Franco Marinangeli, Anna Maria di Fabio and Angelo Cora who join Roberta Spagnoli, Cinzia Raparelli and Massimiliano Venta.
