The inauguration of the new premises of block B of the IIS Morra of Matera will be held on Monday 10 June, at 10 am, after the seismic adaptation and static consolidation works contracted by the Province of Matera. The intervention, financed with 700 thousand euros from Next Generation EU, made it possible to complete the work on the first functional lot financed with Ministerial Decree 607-17.
“I am particularly proud to hand over these premises to the school and students. – commented with extreme happiness the president of the Province of Matera, Piero Marrese – Each building delivered is a victory for everyone, in particular for those who experience the world of school on a daily basis, taking into account the new, safer and more comfortable spaces that are they make available. Knowing that from the next school year the Morra community will be able to enjoy more functional spaces cannot fail to make me happy, giving me further motivation to search for useful solutions to ensure the right to study”.
The head teacher of the Matera institute, Caterina Policaro, also expressed great satisfaction with the objective achieved: “With these new premises, long awaited, not only will we be able to plan the next school year more easily, but also ensure suitable spaces and safe for our boys and girls and teachers, as well as suitable for the laboratories of the various fields of study being created thanks to the PNRR. Thanks to the Province of Matera and the president Piero Marrese, always very close to the needs of the school”. .
