We inform you, in respect of the rights of the suspect (to be considered presumed innocent in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings – preliminary investigations – until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence) and in order to guarantee the constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of the press, that on the evening of June 2, 2024, a Guidonia Monteceliothe policemen of Detached PS Police Station of “Tivoli-Guidonia”, assisted by colleagues from the “Sant’Ippolito” police station, they arrested a 52-year-old SM from Tivoli in the deferred flagrant act of violation of the ban on approaching with an “electronic bracelet”.” to the places frequented by his ex-partner, set within 500 metres, as well as for having put up violent resistance to the officers who intervened to arrest him.
Following an alarm received by the device at the Operations Room of the Rome Police Headquarters antistalking of SM’s ex-partner, it was ascertained that for the umpteenth time the man had entered the exclusion zone provided for by the restrictive measure and that, therefore, he had crossed the 500 meter distance limit imposed by the Judge of the Court of Tivoli.
The investigations carried out immediately by the officers involved allowed the dynamics of the incident to be reconstructed; in the story the victim, still shaken, told the investigators that she had been attacked by man and that, despite the difficulties, she had managed to escape the violence.
The agents of the Tivoli-Guidonia and Sant’Ippolito police stations managed to track down the man at his home shortly afterwards; here the aforementioned, in a clear state of psycho-physical alteration, violently opposed the operants who dragged him into arrest in flagrante delicto “deferred” for persecutory acts and for resisting a public official.
SM had already been arrested on 30 March 2024 by the Agents of the Tiburtino Police Station, for having entered his ex-partner’s home against her will, attacking her and putting his hands around her neck in the presence of her minor children.
On that occasion, after validation by the GIP of the Tivoli Court, he was released with the application of the precautionary measure of the ban on approaching the victim, violated several times so much so that he was arrested again in the act on May 13th.
This latest arrest on 2 June therefore comes at the culmination of a long series of conduct clearly symptomatic of the dangerousness of MS who, at the end of the formalities, was taken to prison.
