A left-handed shooter to guard the “bad” side of the field with personality. In view of the 2024/2025 season, Water Polo Trieste places another transfer coup for the men’s A1 series team.
The sponsored company Samer & Co. Shipping has in fact signed (with a two-year contract) the striker Edoardo Manzi.
Native of Padua, born in 1998, he grew up playing water polo between Camogli and Sori. In 2017 he joined An Brescia, to then wear the caps of Posillipo, Miskolc in Hungary, Bogliasco and De Akker Bologna in the two-year period between 2021 and 2023. In 2022/2023 with the Bolognese he scored 59 goals in A1 (fourth in the ranking scorers of the top national championship), while in the 2023/2024 season he returned to Brescia where he won the Italian Cup (beating Pro Recco on penalties in the final).
“When I decided to change – says the new halberd player – Water Polo Trieste was my first choice. It is a company that I appreciate, organized, which in just a few years has climbed the ranks. It wasn’t difficult to agree and I hope to stay here for a long time. I will find teammates that I know well, I don’t think I will have difficulty settling in. Goals? In the meantime, we need to get back to playing European cups immediately. Then I’m very ambitious so I don’t want to set limits, we can aim high.”
