Today’s edition of “Il Giornale di Sicilia” focuses on the Palermo market with the objectives of Carissoni and Mazzitelli.
The negotiations for the Macaé striker, Brunori, should not be immediate, unlike that for Nikolaou which is now very close to being concluded. Palermo will pay Spezia a sum of just over a million euros and aims to have the player already on Sunday in Livigno, sorting out the last details. The Ligurians are ready to receive Aurelio on loan and Soleri presumably permanently, but the operation will be separate from that for Nikolaou. The trail that leads to Fulignati, who will go to Cremonese as a starting goalkeeper, together with Vandeputte, for whom Cremonese has paid a sum close to 5 million euros to Catanzaro, has faded.
Incoming, the main suggestions for Palermo are Carissoni from Cittadella as left back and Mazzitelli from Frosinone as playmaker. Among the young players, the first alternatives are the Juventus players Turicchia and Hasa. Palermo is also observing Gyomber’s situation: in the next few days he could terminate his contract with Salernitana, and if one of Nedelcearu or Graves were to leave, he could become a concrete option as deputy to Lucioni, even if further reassurances will be needed regarding Lucioni’s permanence. Another position under observation is that of right back, where Buttaro should start (Juve likes Stabia). As deputy Diakité, the latest suggestion is Niccolò Pierozzi, who at Fiorentina is closed by Kayode and Faraoni; his twin Edoardo remained in Palermo for six months in 2022/23, playing just two matches.
