Mister Piccirilli in the post-match of Campobasso-Cavese

CAMPOBASSO – Painless defeat for the wolf at the Avicor Molinari Stadium. Cavese prevailed 3-2 over the rossoblù, but it wasn’t enough, thanks to the Molise success at the “Lamberti” in Cava. Campobasso flies to the Poule Scudetto final where they will compete for the tricolor against Sicilians Trapani. At the end of the match these are the words of Mr. Piccirilli: “I told the boys in the locker room this, not to underestimate the match, because we had all taken too much for granted the fact that we already had the final in our pocket and in football nothing is taken for granted. This race will serve as a lesson personally, but I think for everyone, as a lesson. We were weak on the first goal we conceded as well as on the second even though we played a good game in the first half. It’s clear that their second goal took away some of our confidence, the third was about to take it away definitively but we did well to react and get the game back on track. In these three matches we created a lot of scoring opportunities… if we had been more cynical today the match would have taken a different turn but they are still a great team.”

Piccirilli adds: “It’s the way of playing football that I like, without taking anything away from what we’ve done so far, which has led us to achieve the result we wanted. It’s normal that now our mind is freer as well as our legs, you can see it, then we wanted to manage this Poule like I said a few days ago, with serious fun which in the end is an apt term, that’s it.”
