THE FACT – A 56-year-old, already with a criminal record and subjected to probationary custody, broke into the home of a 72-year-old resident (for rent) in the city of Matelica. The man exploited his relationship with the owner of the building and the fact of have duplicate keys to the apartments where he occasionally carried out maintenance work.
Having snuck inside the house, the 56-year-old managed to get thererecover 1500 euros in cash that the woman kept in the residence. But at that point, under the influence of the narcotic substances he had already taken, he lost all forms of lucidity.
In fact, while fleeing, he left the keys he was in possession of in the lock. From the key ring it was not difficult to trace who had entered the house. Then he started driving his scooter crashing along the road from Matelica to San Severino and was then transported by helicopter to the Torrette hospital in Ancona.
The Carabinieri of Matelica found the entire stolen goods from the robbery in the man’s backpack at the San Severino emergency room (where the doctors gave him initial treatment before being transported to Ancona).
