There is still a long way to go until the next municipal elections which will bring the people of Reggio to the polls again to choose the new mayor of the city.

We don’t know when we will go to vote, whether in October 2025 or May 2026. But despite the large time window that separates us from the next municipal elections, there is already a lot of excitement in the city. Two associations were born in recent weeks, first with ‘ReggioGrows‘, the new sociopolitical reality presented by the former trade unionist president Rosy Perrone. Then a second association, ‘Be there‘ headed Ninni Tramontanawhich sees a group of entrepreneurs and professionals from Reggio take to the field with Salvatore Vermiglio in the role of president.

We asked, during the broadcast, ‘Reggio Politik‘, broadcast on RTV a comment to the vice president of Region Calabria Giusy Princi:

“I’m pleased that there is significant activism in the city that averts disillusionment. A constructive discussion is welcome, an expression of democracy and circularity of ideas. I really like the position of the doctor. Lamberti for whom I have great respect but also that of my friend Ninni Tramontana. Both involve the business world and civil society.”

Will the name of Giusy Princi also return to the next municipal elections as the centre-right candidate for mayor or not? And as can be seen, the former principal of the scientific high school ‘L. da Vinci’ in the role of first citizen?

“As regards my position and my name, in view of the next elections, I have always found myself being ‘thrown’ into a possible candidacy for mayor. Meanwhile, I appreciate the position of the FI party which thanks to the president Eyed and to the deputy Cannizzaro is having the foresight to identify competent people. To regain lost credibility, we must regain possession of competent people. Today Giusy Princi will represent the Calabria and the South in Europe and we know how important it is to be there. I am sure that equally credible people will be identified who will best manage to govern our city which needs vision, development and opportunities”.
