MASS – Wednesday 12 June the arrival in Viareggio of the second stage of the prestigious vintage car race: the caravan will also make a passage through the historic center of Massa, chosen as the venue for the stamp of passage ritual. It hasn’t happened for 75 years.

After 75 years, the city of Massa returns to welcome the historic “1000 Miglia” during the second stage scheduled for Wednesday 12 June. The fascinating road car race limited to cars produced by 1957. After starting from Brescia on the afternoon of Tuesday 11 June and crossing Bergamo, Novara Vercelli, the first stage will end in Turin.

On the second day the historic cars will head towards Genoa and then pass through Massa from the central Piazza Aranci where they will receive the stamp that will testify to their passage and then end in Viareggio. The cars will first arrive in Marina di Massa, travel along Viale Roma and then Viale Eugenio Chiesa. After receiving the stamp in Piazza Aranci around 5.30pm, the convoy will cross Piazza Mercurio before reaching Viareggio.

The race will open with almost 120 Ferraris from the 1000 Miglia Tribute, followed by the convoy of historic cars, preceded by the 1000 Miglia Green and the self-driving car from the project born and developed in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Milan.

The race will also be an opportunity, during the Turin stage, to celebrate the 250 years of the Guardia di Finanza which was born on 5 October 1774 in Turin. Massa will therefore be crossed on Wednesday 12 June starting from 5.30 pm by hundreds of cars for a passage that will last approximately 4 hours.
