After the presentation of the event at Palazzo Podestà, held between February and March of this year, the actions of FareFaenza, the institutional communication campaign that tells the story of the transformation process that Faenza is experiencing with the projects active in the area, financed by the Pnrr, by other sources of financing and by the Municipality’s own resources. An operation will begin this week “city dressing” through posting in various places in the city area, of large posters – including 6×3 meters in via Risorgimento, Fornarina and Oberdan – which will illustrate the change. In fact, these will communicate in an evocative way the transformations to which some of the most ambitious projects implemented will lead and, at the same time, will provide an overview of the totality of the projects and investments in the Municipality’s territory. At the center is the theme of be a community and find your roots again.

Sport, mobility, culture: the investment challenge to be completed

So if the road system near the railway station is linked to the theme of travel, the Horse riding gym it will be to that of sport, while energy communities will be connected to work and sustainability, and the Exhibition Palace to the theme of meeting and sociality. In this symbolic space, in fact, the past and the future meet and give depth to the slogan “FareFaenza”which becomes the true strength of the community.

Another planned action will concern the installation of information signs in some of the main construction sites active in the city, which will strengthen the message of “FareFaenza”, telling those who observe the change that we want to bring about on the place thanks to the specific intervention. Posters and signs at construction sites will contain a QR codes thanks to which you will be able to find out more about the campaign and the projects described.

“After the flood – specifies the vice mayor Andrea Fabbri – we tried to summarize everything that was the topic of public investments in Faenza and we realized the complexity we had to face, not only in the Pnrr context. In all we are talking about investments for approximately 60 million euros, for more than 80 projects (between Pnrr, European Por-Fesr resources and the Municipality’s own resources). Now we are in a historic moment for Faenza, we want to deliver regenerated spaces for the community to the city as soon as possible. This communication campaign aims to make citizens more aware of what is happening.”

Mayor Isola: “Beware of the gap between large cities and small municipalities”

“I believe it is worth documenting this historical passage of our city – adds the mayor Massimo Isola -. I believe the theme of memory is important and is presented in the images of this communication campaign, describing the symbols of Faenza. In terms of investments, there is nothing similar in the history of our city since the post-war period. The Pnrr allows us to regenerate containers differently from how they were before, but this will also happen with post-flood reconstruction. We will have different structures than before. There will be more energy-sustainable properties. In sport alone there are ten projects that refer to ten sports facilities that have been closed for years.”

“The construction sites are starting – concludes the mayor -, but there is still a lot of work to do, first of all ensuring that the city, as a whole, experiences this transformation. Then there is a theme that should not be underestimated: Pnrr resources further increase the gap between large and small cities. The former will be increasingly competitive, while small municipalities will find it increasingly difficult to keep up with the times, even on issues such as sustainability. This is why the Union of Municipalities is essential to leave no one behind.”
