An award to students who invent the most “creative” clock

Award intended for students of high schools in Udine and Pordenone, for the most creative watch in the name of Remigio Solari.

An award for the most creative watch, intended for young talents from high schools in the provinces of Udine and Pordenonestudents who put their ingenuity to good use in the name of the watchmaking family that made Friuli’s name great in the world: the Solari. Saturday 15 June, starting at 10.00 am at the municipal auditorium of Pieria di Prato Carnico (free entry subject to availability, for reservations: [email protected]) there will in fact be thereaward ceremony for the first edition of the “Remigio Solari Youth Creativity Award” organized by the Pesarina Watchmaking Association, as part of the project “Pesariis, Gorizia: evidence of industriousness and goals of excellence” shared with five partners: Municipality of Prato Carnico, Mountain Community of Carnia, Tec4I Fvg – Friuli Innovazione, University of Udine – Sasweb Lab and Coronini Cronberg Foundation.

Of the 47 students initially registered, there are 22 young finalists from high schools “Arturo Malignani”, “Fermo Solari” and “Evangelista Torricelli” from Udine and Pordenonewho completed the development of creative artefacts with team work, according to the aims of the call which required to design and create a clock based on Remigio Solari’s direct reading system, thus trying their hand at conceiving and producing, with an innovative design, the casing capable of containing and operating the flip clock mechanism.

In the awards event a Pieria di Prato Carnico, moderated by the journalist Alessio Screm, the authoritative jury made up of industry and design experts will decide the winning project. THE jurors I am Katia Bredeonfrom the Solari company of Udine, for the world of watchmaking; Anna Aurora Lombardiof the FVG-MuDeFri Design Museum, for the world of design, e Christian Bracich by Cpi-Eng Engineering company from Trieste, for the world of industry.
