Lake Garda: TAV Brescia-Verona, the new maxi-viaduct on the Mincio river

Another (big) step on the journey of the High Speed Brescia Est-Verona: the launching of the metal deck of the viaduct over the Mincio in the Peschiera del Garda paper mill has been completed, a circumstance which leads to the advancement of the works on the new HS/AC line (high speed and high capacity) at around 67%, in line (more or less) with the timescales required by the Pnrr, the national recovery and resilience plan which finances, we recall, part of the 2.8 billion necessary for the construction of the large Opera. As per the timetable, we remind you, it must be ready by 2026, in line with the deadlines of the Plan. The new maxi-viaduct on the Mincio river The complex push launch of the metal deck of the viaduct on the Mincio river – the second largest of the entire route: the record goes to the Brescia area with the viaduct on the Chiese river, in the Calcinato area, will be 377 meters long – was built in various phases during 2024 and was successfully concluded on the afternoon of June 4th.
