Archived the first edition of the Caserta Race Tourtwo days full of events and initiatives proposed byASD Team Giannini with the collaboration of Cannavaro-Ferrara Foundation. Program started Saturday 1 June inside the Marcianise velodrome (a stone’s throw from the Royal Palace of Caserta) with a rich expo area, activities for children, spinning, music and entertainment. Also on Saturday at 7 pm the show took place Foot race.
Sunday 2 June instead it was the turn of the Gran Fondo. About 300 startersall in official technical shirts Ale, found inside the rich goody bag. The race started from via Trentola, right in front of the velodrome, anticipated by numerous invited guests (including Francesco Moser, Ciro Ferrara, Lorenzo Germani, Alessandro Bertolini, Angelo Furlan And Valerio Agnoli). All these guests led the way and cycled along the 50 kilometer cycling route, parallel to the Gran Fondo. The competitive race instead took place on a track of 100 kilometers with a difference in altitude of 1,100 metres. The race was decided on the last bump of the day, resolved with a three-man sprint won by Matteo Rotondi (ASD Gs Murolo Costruzioni SL2). Second Giuseppe Orlando (Cycling Explorers) and third Rossano Mauti (Gattobike Team).
In addition to the awards, rich prizes to raffle for a total value of 50,000 euros. Among these also one Ebike FMOSER delivered directly from Francesco Moser on stage.
Much satisfaction for the Asd Team Giannini and for the organizer Silvia Gazzolawho we interviewed at the end of the event: «We managed to send a strong signal. Something special can also be organized here. This was our goal and we happily achieved it. An event of this type was missing in Campania. The slogan “Make our world a better place to be”, which we launched, was born from the combination of the event’s strong points: Sport, culture, safety and hospitality. Now let’s start thinking about the second edition, which is already in the pipeline and we will soon formalize the date that awaits the Caserta Race Tour for 2025».
