It has been published, in the section dedicated to the European and Administrative elections of 8 and 9 June 2024, on the online website of the municipality of Bagheria, the circular no. 8 bis of the Prefecture of Palermo on “clarifications regarding electoral propaganda”. The circular clarifies that considering that voting will take place on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June 2024, the so-called “electoral silence” will be applied from midnight on Friday 7 June 2024. The Communications Guarantee Authority AGCOM also sent a note to the Municipality with which it recalls the circular letter of the Ministry of the Interior n.39/2024 in application of the art. 1, paragraph 3, letter b) of legislative decree no. 7/2024.
Electoral propaganda activities can be carried out until 11.59pm today, Friday 7 June. The obligation also concerns radio and television broadcasters and extends to all direct and indirect electoral propaganda activities, even if conveyed on online platforms
The ban on the publication and dissemination of the results of political and electoral polls, already in force since Saturday 25 May 2024, persists.
