Castellammare, De Stefano’s recipe: “City of culture and a green vision”

Castellammare. «Clear ideas for a city that projects itself towards the future in the name of tourism, culture and sustainable development».

The lawyer Gaetano De Stefano, candidate for the city council with the Stabia Unica list in the centre-right coalition in support of the mayoral candidate Mario D’Apuzzo, underlines the key points of a program based on continuity with the outgoing administration, in which he carried out a leading role in the executive as councilor with responsibility for events, sport and technological innovations.

«I am ready to deploy all my commitment, my competence and my administrative experience to increasingly enhance our historical and artistic heritage, which took place with the inauguration of the Libero D’Orsi Archaeological Museum in the Royal Palace of Quisisana , thanks to the iron will of the centre-right administration in synergy with the Archaeological Park of Pompeii – continues De Stefano – Quisisana will be a hub of culture: with the funding intercepted by the centre-right, interventions are underway for the restyling of Viale Ippocastani and the construction of the Civic Museum of Stabia, which we will inaugurate in the first 100 days of administration.

We will continue to promote highly successful cultural events and collaborate with local associations to involve the community in arts and culture activities. I am thinking, in particular, of the experience of Quisilegge, the “book festival” which took place for the first time on the initiative of a municipal administration in Castellammare and which we will promote again, to make it a pillar of cultural promotion on a national and international scale international”.

De Stefano has made a coherent choice, running as a candidate on the “Stabia Unica” list and embracing a political project which, within the center-right coalition, he aims to carry forward in the territory and among the benches of the municipal council.

«With Stabia Unica I have a series of ambitious projects in mind in the city – continues De Stefano – I want to promote innovation and economic development, creating opportunities for local businesses and young people. I want to strengthen public services and improve the quality of life of citizens.

I want to enhance sport: we will create the Giancarlo Siani sports center at the CMI, with the funds intercepted by the center-right and with the support of the national government, within the next 6 months.

We will also do the same for the sports center near the Denza school and across Cantieri Mercantili. And we will enhance tourism, following the path undertaken also with the tourist info point which, drawing inspiration from an idea of mine, is now a reality in the Art Nouveau style kiosk in the municipal villa”.

De Stefano looks ahead with optimism and confidence. «Our goal is to build a better future for Castellammare, uniting the forces of the community and working together to achieve many goals – concludes Gaetano De Stefano – We have a very clear vision of the city, we have projects financed for over 80 million euros thanks to the funds intercepted by the centre-right, including 12 million for the relaunch of the Antiche Terme, which will once again be the flagship of Castellammare di Stabia. We have clearly expressed our no to the underpass in via Cosenza, to protect all citizens, in particular the San Marco district, from the disasters desired by the Campania Region. We aim for a green future, with clear choices for environmental sustainability in the name of the green line. With everyone’s support, we aim to achieve great things for our city. The turning point has arrived and together we can make a difference.”
