A new fund campaign launched in Sanremo. This time the trigger is the 5G antennasspecifically the new base radio station installed in mouth areawhich should become active soon.

The initiative was launched by Bonmoschetto Committeefounded three years ago, which with the purchase of a specific machine, costing 5000 eurosincluding courses to learn how to use it, wants to monitor electromagnetic pollution that the new structure will issue once it comes into operation. The decision to launch this crowdfunding came due to the location in which the tower was installed, close to homes and playgrounds.

We sought a dialogue with the Municipality to propose alternative solutions to where to install it – he said Stefano Cutelléof the Committee’s management – but they ignored us, we are not against 5g, but we believe that the area is not suitable for an installation. If we manage to purchase this machinery, we will carry out additional checks in addition to those normally required by Arpal, also because depending on the time slots in which the monitoring is carried out, the wave emissions can vary and – he concludes – if the measurements give inconsistent values, we will intervene directly by contacting Arpal and the government bodies“.

It should be underlined that since the authorization comes directly from the State to install a base radio station, the Municipality has little say at an operational level.

The Bonmoschetto Committee also makes it known that it is ready to make the machinery available to monitor the other antennas in the area (in the Sanremo area there are three, a Coldirodi, Bussana and San Bartolomeo)
