The Festival delle Terre d’Acqua, a cultural project of the Re Manfredi Foundation, returns to Manfredonia for its fourth edition from 25 to 29 June 2024.
The festival, setting for the Re Manfredi International Culture Award and the younger Destination Marketing Awards, was born as a cultural project for the creation of beauty and freedom, pursued by bringing the territory closer to knowledge, to the culture of conscious protection of the territory, to the competence to face the challenges of an increasingly globalized society, of the valorization of merit as a tool for redemption from bad habits, crime and poverty, which finds its final moment in an event which constitutes the sum of all the initiatives implemented by the Re Manfredi Foundation in over the years of activity.
The program of the event includes three events: from 25 to 27 June the literary event of meetings with authors “I’ll bring you a book” will take place in the Amphitheater in front of the Marina del Gargano – Porto Turistico di Manfredonia, in which each author interacts with the public by addressing a specific topical issue; Friday 28 June is the evening dedicated to the “Destination Marketing Awards”, in which those who, in their specific sector, have been able to enhance the destinations of Gargano, Daunia and the whole of Puglia are rewarded; last but not least, on Saturday 29 June in Piazza Falcone e Borsellino the gala evening of “XXXI Re Manfredi International Culture Award”, a recognition given to those who, by distinguishing themselves for merit in their field of expertise, have brought prestige to our land, thus highlighting its many potentials.
«The Festival delle Terre d’Acqua is an event that is acquiring more and more importance, as it acts as a focal center for the culture of our territory» declares president Michele De Meo. «The fourth edition will be held at the beginning of the new council for the administration of the city of Manfredonia and our hope is that whoever is preparing to administer and govern the city can give the right space to the cultural theme, intercepting needs and developing events of comparison. This is why the Re Manfredi Foundation has been fighting for years and works to attract entrepreneurs, operators and professionals who have dedicated their work
their lives and their talent to the promotion of work and culture and who have thus contributed to the growth of our territory and its international projection, bringing it prestige and pride. The aim is to network actors and users of the festival so that they can be inspired and encouraged to feel like a community and, as such, to be increasingly competitive and to feel proud citizens of this land, an aspect, the latter, which seems missing in this historical period. Between saying and doing, let’s not get involved.
