Yesterday evening, at Pico De Gallo, an atmosphere full of emotion welcomed the participants, who gathered to celebrate ten years of administration of Alberto Biancheri as mayor of the city of Sanremo. The words of those who worked closely with him, together with the moving speech of his daughter Chiara, retraced the salient moments of these two mandates.
The event was opened by the civic mayor candidate Alessandro Mager, who took the opportunity to publicly thank the outgoing mayor for his commitment and dedication to serving the community. Even the former mayor Claudio Boreas wanted to pay homage to Biancheri, underlining the importance of his work in shaping the face of the city in recent years.
The highlight of the evening was the touching and passionate speech by Chiara Biancheri, who shared with the public his reflections and his memories linked to his father figure. An emotional video then retraced the most significant moments of these ten years of administration.
Finally, the outgoing mayor spoke: “How do you reach ten years? Thanks to you”, began Biancheri, addressing the assembled crowd. “This is the truth. We leave a legacy of 200 million euros of public works to our beloved city.” Among these stand out the safety of the schools, the sports hall, the relocation of the headquarters of the traffic police, the expansion of the video surveillance system (which went from 42 to 477 cameras), the preparatory works for the new port and the creation of new car parks.
These are just some of the projects completed and underway, a precious legacy for those who will govern the city.
