Coldiretti, national president inaugurates new office in Ferrara area – VIDEO – Telestense

Many members were present on a morning which officially kicked off trade union and service activities for members of the Ferrara and Poggio Renatico sections.

An anniversary that turns into an appointment for a party, in the presence of the national president of Coldiretti, Ettore Prandini, who on Thursday morning, 6 June, cut the ribbon inaugurating Coldiretti’s Ferrara area office.

Hundreds of members present to share a moment of celebration and pride, the recognition of a path that rewards members, enhances the work of the management elected just a year ago, and allows a renewed level of union activity and service from the staff .

The offices are located at the San Giorgio Artisan Center, in via Renato Hirsch, 19, and serve the Coldiretti sections of the Municipality of Ferrara and the Municipality of Poggio Renatico, with a large and well-equipped conference room that serves the entire provincial area .

Enhanced by the presence of the national president Prandini, the day developed with simplicity and attention for all the guests, starting from the associates, the managers, and then the representatives of institutions such as the Prefecture and the Chamber of Commerce, but also associations such as AVIS (which delivered a commemorative plaque to Prandini) and LILT, the Voghiera DOP garlic consortium, ANBI, all the employees of Ferrara and other areas, united by the party for this particular occasion.

A minute of silence preceded the various interventions, requested by director Visotti due to the tragic fatal accident that struck a member of the organization in these hours, marking all the farmers and staff in the area with sadness.

Recognition of the role and the representativeness and distinctiveness of Coldiretti were expressed both by the representatives of the Ferrara institutions and by the regional and national representatives, acknowledging the successful efforts made to provide the Ferrara area with autonomous and well-structured premises to provide services and union moments that are particularly necessary today to overcome these difficult years for the agricultural sector.

“After 12 months – observed Prandini – the new management has faced difficult productive and trade union moments, managing to give an identity and characterize Coldiretti Ferrara for ideas and proposals and also to finally have an office for Ferrara which best represents the our identity.”

In the interventions, in particular by the provincial president Fugaroli, many issues that have a daily impact on agricultural activities with the strong request to activate everything possible and pay the utmost attention so that agricultural businesses are given the opportunity to work and produce and have a suitable income. A battle to be waged at all levels, from local to particularly impactful ones such as the European Union, to make known the real needs of the sector and find suitable policies to advance agriculture and not make it disappear, in particular – as also underlined by President Prandini – giving profitability to all the supply chains of all the production sectors, from fruit and vegetables to cereals and livestock. There is a clear attack against the “new sharecropping”, the synthetic food proposed by hi-tech multinationals, the absurd regulations that place agriculture and the environment in opposition rather than recognizing the role of farmers, the unfair practices, the ambiguous associations in the different behaviors between national and European moments, the need for policies truly aimed at the production of healthy, safe, quality food that restores income to agricultural businesses, otherwise the territory will become increasingly impoverished, there will be more and more invasive wildlife, the phenomena connected to climate change, putting not only agricultural businesses but also citizens in crisis.

With the blessing of Mons. Perego of the premises of the only association (as he recalled in his speech) which by statute pursues the social doctrine of the Church and for eighty years has defended farmers and the environment and the waving of flags to the tune of the “yellow flag ”, the day ended with a rich buffet of local products offered by farmhouses and companies in Campagna Amica Ferrara.
