The first phase will take place from 6 to 8 June with the elimination rounds of the football championship and the second from 5 to 8 September with many collateral sporting events. 43 provincial orders participate for a total of 1500 people including athletes and companions.
Grosseto: Maremma will host the CNational Sports Championships of the Orders of Engineers on the occasion of 68th National Congress. Starting from June, professionals from all over Italy will arrive in the province of Grosseto to participate in a series of sporting competitions, which will enliven a packed program of activities and, of course, get to know the beauty of the area. In fact, 11-a-side, 8-a-side and 5-a-side football tournaments will be played, but also the sailing race, the padel championship, the foot and cycling race. The event will take place in two phases: the first from 6 to 8 June and the second from 5 to 8 September.
In June the first appointment is with the qualifying matches of the football championships in the sports facilities in Grosseto, Paganico, Castiglione della Pescaia and Follonica. The numbers of this edition are important: in fact, over 1500 people including athletes and companions are expected in Grosseto, considering that professionals from 43 provincial orders of engineers have joined the initiative.
The event is organized by the Order of Engineers of Grosseto, which is taking care of the program down to the smallest details to best welcome colleagues from all over Italy to the Maremma.

11-a-side football championship: “Massimo Bucciantini” and “Franco Genovese” Tournament – Qualifiers from 6 to 8 June. Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals from 5 to 8 September
8-a-side football championship over 40 – Qualifiers from 6 to 8 June. Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals from 5 to 8 September
5-a-side football championship over 50: single phase from 6 to 8 June, with possible finals in September.
Padel championship: from 5 to 8 September at THE VILLAGE PADEL & TENNIS in Grosseto, with men’s, men’s Over45 and women’s tournaments or mixed doubles.
Tennis championship: from 5 to 8 September with details to be defined
Running race: the Green March, an 11.15 km race, which will be held on 7 September in Roccastrada, under the patronage of the UISP, the Municipality of Roccastrada and the Province of Grosseto.
Cycling race: the Climber’s Trophy, a 65 km race, which will take place on 8 September in Gavorrano, characterized by seven laps of the Casone circuit followed by an ascent towards Gavorrano.
Sailing race: will take place from 5 to 8 September, with organizational details to be defined.
The presentation ceremony of the Sports Championships will be held on Friday 7 June, at 3 pm, at the Il Madonnino Exhibition Center in Braccagni (Gr). Participation is reserved for tournament participants, patrons and sponsors.
The conference program in collaboration with Aermec spa, sponsor of the initiative, includes: from 3pm to 6pm speeches by engineers Alessio Gattone, Eugenio Baldino, Gianfrancesco Santagati and Simone Fierli on the “Winemaking process and winemaking systems, technical ideas and cases practical.” The market trend, the winemaking cycle and the techniques for sizing the cellar rooms will be addressed; characteristics of the heat pumps and terminals serving a winemaking plant with case history. Moderated by the presidents of the orders of engineers of Grosseto and Siena, Enrico Romualdi and Francesco Gaudini. The introduction will take place with greetings from the President of the CNI Angelo Domenico Perrini, the Treasurer of the CNI Irene Sassetti and the CNI Councilor Alberto Romagnoli. From 6pm to 7pm, the presentation of the tournaments and the presentation of the plaques will be held. And to follow until 8pm the show of the Butteri della Maremma association with Maremma breed horses in traditional harness. At 8pm buffet dinner.
