L’Il Torrazzo Cultural Association of Commessaggio awaits you Saturday 15 June at 7.45pm for the second summer 2024 aperitif which will be followed by presentation of a very special book, written by many hands, illustrated, available to be explored on multiple levels.

The pages of this book celebrate a meeting, the one that binds the inhabitants of Po Valley with the architectural element perhaps most characterizing the urban identity of this territory, i porticoes.
The geographical perimeter within which the work ranges refers to Emilian lands and the province of Mantua.
The route winds through cities, towns and suburbs in a veritable journey among the arcades of the plain.
This volume also represents a meeting of people. Five authors, through words and illustrations, addressed the theme of the portico in an original and dynamic form. And so, historical elements form the backdrop for new urban walks. And the imagination generated by writers, artists, songwriters who have immortalized the porticoes joins new stories and emotions under the vaults of our cities.
Because those who study in Bologna, or live even just part of their life in Mantua, or work in a village in the Emilian province, certainly leave a part of their heart under some portico.
This book is intended to be a map to move between times and places of this sentimental encounter.
