The most beautiful car race in the world: the 1000 Miglia returns to Massa

The 1000 Miglia 2024 will be in Massa on Wednesday 12 June, during the second stage of the race which, starting from Turin, will end in Viareggio. The first cars to arrive in the city will be the 118 Ferraris of the Tribute 1000 Miglia, which will be in Massa by 5.30pm for Stamp Control in Piazza Aranci. The convoy of historic cars will follow around 6.30pm, preceded by the 1000 Miglia Green and the self-driving car of the 1000 Miglia Autonomous Drive project with the Polytechnic of Milan.

Path. The cars will arrive from Marina di Massa and will travel along Via Roma and Viale Chiesa, they will parade in front of the municipal building and then carry out the Stamp Control in Piazza Aranci. Continuing to Piazza Mercurio, they will exit the historic center passing through Porta Marta.

The 1000 Miglia 2024

After starting from Brescia on the afternoon of Tuesday 11 June and crossing Bergamo, Novara and Vercelli, the first stage will end in Turin. On the second day, once it has departed from the Savoy city, the convoy will descend towards the south over the Langhe and cross the center of Acqui Terme before heading towards Genoa, the 2024 European Capital of Sport and home to the first race lunch. After the break, the race will leave the Riviera di Levante behind and head towards the Tyrrhenian coast to reach Viareggio, home of the arrival of the second day of the race.

The descent towards Rome will characterize the third stage, which will initially see a detour into the Tuscan hinterland passing through Lucca, before returning to the coast and continuing until the lunch break in Castiglione della Pescaia. In the afternoon the passage from Grosseto, the entry into Lazio and the descent along Lake Bolsena before concluding the day with the parade in via Veneto. After the halfway point in the capital, on the fourth day the crews will go up to Orvieto before stopping for lunch in Solomeo, a characteristic medieval village nestled in the Umbrian hills, from where they will set off again towards Siena and Prato. Before reaching the final stage in San Lazzaro di Savena, pilots and navigators will cross the Futa and Raticosa passes. From Bologna, the last stage will meet Ferrara, and again Lake Garda with Valtenesi and Salò before the classic walkway in Viale Venezia in Brescia.
