Six children, four of whom are disabled, the family has finally got a house: contract signed

A story with a happy ending, the one on which the final word was put in black and white today in the headquarters of the Department of Housing Policies, where finally Mara Rolla, the mother of six children, four of whom have medium to severe disabilities, of whom MessinaToday spoke in recent months, signed the acceptance report for accommodation made available by the Iacp. The house that was given to the family is in San Giovanello in a completely new building where all that needs to be done is the final bureaucratic formalities to then proceed with the delivery of the keys to the new owners.

“There have been several discussions with the councilor for social policies Alessandra Calafiore and with the department that has interfaced with us over the course of these months to find a solution for Mara and her children – explains the lawyer Annalisa Giacobbe who has been following the family in these months – We had looked at a house in the Magnolia complex but it wasn’t suitable and we refused but now we have found the definitive solution”.

The family, given the difficulties presented by some of the minors, will be able to stay in an apartment on the ground floor, consisting of three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, two bathrooms and balconies. “I am happy with this discussion and the collaboration that has taken place on the part of the institutions”, commented Annalisa Giacobbe.

But above all, Mara and her family are so happy, having also had to deal with the risk of having to leave the accommodation of relatives where they are guests and from which, in addition to the difficulties in daily travel, they will have to move in a short time. Towards a new home from which, this time, no one will ever be able to move her or her children. “The main thanks go not only to the institutions, but also to Dr. Costantino – commented Mara – Angelo supported me by opening up my paths, putting me in Annalisa’s hands and always being there for my children”.
