Art without borders in the heart of the Baroque – il Gazzettino di Gela

Noto – The “La Via dell’Arte” Association and the municipal administration of Noto, led by the mayor Corrado Figura, with the patronage of the World Confederation of the Past Pupils of Don Bosco, the Georgian artists club and the Montecatone Rehabilitation Institute Spa, from From 15th to 23rd June they are organizing the first international art biennial called “Art without borders in the heart of the Baroque” whose inauguration will be held on Saturday 15th June, at 5pm, at the convent of Santa Chiara.

The initiative, promoted by the artistic director Roberto Guccione, in collaboration with the municipal administration and in particular with the Department of Tourism and Entertainment led by Massimo Prado, will see over 70 artists from Georgia, Hungary, Russia, France, Malta, Slovakia, Austria and Finland. Nina Darchia, head of the association Via dell’Arte in Georgia, will lead a delegation of 25 Georgian artists who, in addition to exhibiting their works in the Biennial, will visit the Baroque places.

“We believe that art is genius, it is positivity, it is peace. With our group shows and our events we try to color the places that welcome us with beauty and to promote the territory through art, which is complete knowledge of man – underlines the artistic director and organizer Roberto Guccione – meeting point of the inner and outer self; a touching experience that will allow visitors to travel in serenity within the worlds depicted in the works exhibited by the artists”.

The exhibition will remain open until June 23rd and it will be possible to visit it every day from 10 am to 1 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm. The event will be presented by Maria Grazia Cianciulli and Valerio Martorana.
