A year after the defeat on penalties in the final against Follonica, the Spv Viareggio under 17 team has kept its commitment and this time on the roof of Italy is the team coached by Alessandro Martini, one of the best Italian youth coaches: ” That defeat – says Martini – was hard to digest. We promised ourselves that we would still get to the final to win it and that’s what happened. It was a truly triumphal season because we won all the official matches we played apart from a draw. We got it six wins in six games played with 45 goals scored and only 8 conceded. These are important numbers that make us all proud, they worked hard and well, even training outdoors when it was necessary redemption was the driving force that made us get to where we are now and I believe that, also thanks to this result, they understood that in sport, as in life, sacrifices pay off. I also want to remember that seven of them had conquered the promotion to the senior A2 series, which says a lot about the value and dedication of this group.” For the SPV Group of president Claudio Bicicchi, committed to young people for decades, the 2024 under 17 title is only the latest title won.
