It was held this afternoon at the Cinema Centrale debate between the mayoral candidates of Sanremo organized by our newspaper. The candidate of the civic coalition for Sanremo is present and precise, Alessandro Mager.
Social issues were one of the main topics covered: “The Municipality has committed 13 million euros per year to social issues, it is a lot but it is never enough, we can always improve – were the words of Alessandro Mager. – I agree that further action needs to be taken on this issue by working on three macro areas: disabled people, minors and the elderly. It is also necessary for the Municipality to have continuous relations with the voluntary associations and it is important to improve the organisation”.
There was also talk of the cycle path projects, the Aurelia Bis, the problem of urban mobility and ideas on tourism, casinos and festivals: “The agreement with Rai will be fundamental – declared Mager. – With the help of our favorable climate it will be necessary to deseasonalize tourism by giving life to sporting, cultural, gastronomic and sea-related initiatives. We must work on creating a tourist image that goes beyond events such as the Festival. Regarding the Casino, my idea is that the core business must be gaming, but it would be important for us to start carrying out activities again in other sectors too, such as conferences or company promotions, so as not to limit ourselves and it will be necessary to improve the communication aspect ”.
Regarding the electoral campaign: “For me it was a wonderful experience – concluded Mager – and the possibility of speaking with my fellow citizens from a different position was a source of personal enrichment. We are aware that Sanremo needs some important interventions which we will take care of. The social aspect is primary and we are a civic group made up of competent people who want to give life to a better Sanremo”.
