Oliana approaches, Patierno moves away. These are still the only names at the center of the Carrarese transfer market, which this year will have to navigate the rigid rules imposed by Serie B, between overs, unders and ‘flagship’ players. The Sestri Levante defender, who would fall into the first category having been born in 1999 (he celebrates 25 years on Sunday), is always a hot name, but official confirmations are still awaited. The former player from Nuova Florida, Monopoli, Rimini and Albissola would therefore be added to 12 others who make up the A list, made up of all those players born before 31 December 2000. Each team will be able to register a maximum of 18 and currently there are 12. among the ranks of the Azzurri with a contract valid also for next season. These are Belloni, Coppolaro, Grassini, Cicconi, Illanes, Di Gennaro, Imperiale, Capello, Della Latta, Schiavi, Finotto and Panico, to which are added 5 whose contracts are expiring (Pinto, Mazzini, Giannetti, Palmieri and Morosini). whose fate will be known this week.
The unders, i.e. all those born from 1 January 2001 onwards, will instead form the B list, which does not have a maximum number of members. Only the born in 2001 Zanon is currently included in this list, since the contracts of the other young players who played in the season just ended (the goalkeeper born in ’05 Tampucci and the defender born in ’02 Boli) will expire on Sunday. The third category, list C, refers to those players who have been registered with Carrarese for at least 4 consecutive seasons. Grassini and Imperiale are the only two to have been in Carrara for at least 4 years, but only the Lombard full-back will be able to return to the C list and free up a place in the A, since the central defender, a native of Partinico, is in his first year in the shadow of the Apuan Alps he was instead on loan from Empoli.
