Cultable land, from Tuscany to Puglia, over 11 thousand hectares for sale: here is the Ismea map

11 thousand hectares of arable land in Italy up for auction. The seventh edition of the National Agricultural Land Bank (Bta) is starting, which from Tuscany to Puglia is offering 428 plots for sale. As early as May 31st it is possible to make expressions of interest for the land which can be consulted on the website of the Institute of Services for the Agricultural Food Market (ISMEA). The portal is accessible free of charge by users interested in purchasing, who can view the technical sheets with the description of the land for sale and send their expression of interest.

Where are the lands

There are, for example, three pieces of land for sale in Lombardy near Pavia for 17 hectares or 45 hectares in the province of Nuoro in Sardinia. Without forgetting Puglia with 83 hectares in Lecce in two lots or the 358 hectares of land in the province of Florence in Tuscany.

How to buy plots

But how do you buy it? In the “Land for sale” section of the site there are Ismea lands for which the sales procedure is open. Only for land falling within this section is it possible to submit the expression of interest (MDI). In order to purchase land through the Bank it is mandatory to have a certified email address (PEC). By accessing the Bank it is possible to fill in and send an MDI, which must be confirmed by clicking on the link you will receive at the PEC address communicated in the MDI. Confirmation must be made no later than 90 days from the opening date of the terms.

The revival of agriculture

The initiative is part of the project to relaunch Italian agriculture. «Looking to the future also means restoring value to our land – states the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida – through the Ismea Land Bank we restore abandoned and uncultivated plots of land to productivity, we guarantee an opportunity professional skills to our young people who want to work in the sector but have difficulty finding land and we invest in innovation.”
