Livorno, 4 June 2024 – The doctor has reached the well-deserved goal of retirement Milli Caschiliresponsible for Primary Care, historical column for over 30 years, founder and pioneer of territorial healthcare in the Livorno area.
Caschili, hired in the then USL 13 of Livorno in 1990, after a short initial period of service in the multi-zonal laboratory, he has always worked in local healthcare, going through all its evolutions, taking an active and leading role. District doctor in direct contact with the needs of citizens, she was for many years the point of reference in the historic garrison of Via Ernesto Rossi. In 2000 he assumed responsibility for one of the two functional units that implemented the reorganization of the Livorno clinics according to the indications of the Regional Health Plan. In 2010 she was one of the protagonists of the new territorial organization, following in particular the opening of the new Livorno Est socio-health center in via Impastato and the innovative community hospital of which she was responsible.
Over the years his activity has increasingly focused on the area of primary care, becoming responsible for the relevant functional unit and health coordinator of the District Area. In 2020, her organizational skills are made available to deal with the pandemic, in particular in the organization of the vaccination hub set up at PalaModigliani and in home care thanks to the innovative and decisive team of young Usca doctors coordinated by her. One of the last challenges followed was the planning, thanks to Pnrr funds, for the creation of the network of Community Houses.
